Elmering in the Park

While often combined with Radio In The Park, either formally or informally, we sometimes add additional park activities to address hands on learning experiences.  Recent examples have included learning how to terminate coaxial cables, working with power pole connectors, assembling circuit boards and electronic components, varieties of antenna analyzers hands-on, comparison and hands-on examples of different types of coaxial cable, various types of CW keys and keyers.  And, of course, lots of radio and operating experiences and coaching.  Depending on the materials required, we sometimes ask participants to chip in a small amount for materials consumed, but in those cases they go home with what they have built.
